===== I.       Starting Couchbase =====

Launch the Couchbase Console.

The Couchbase Console will display.

Click on the Security link on the left side of the Dashboard, and then click the ADD USER button at the top right of the Security page.  Create a Couchbase User.

Once your Couchbase User is created, click on the Buckets link located on the left side of the Dashboard.

Click on the Buckets link on the left side of the Dashboard.

===== II.      Creating a Data Bucket =====

 

1.     From the Data Buckets tab click on ADD BUCKET.  The Bucket Settings dialog will display.  For our example enter the following settings:

 

**Name:** CBBFS_EXAMPLES_B64

**Memory Quota:** 500 MB

**Bucket Type:** Couchbase

**Advanced bucket settings:**

**            Replicas:** Uncheck Enable and Replicate view indexes

**Ejection Method:** Value only

**Bucket Priority:** Default

**Auto-Compaction:** Uncheck Override the default auto-compaction settings?

**                                   Flush:** Check Enable

2.      Click the Add Bucket button.  Your Couchbase Data Bucket named CBBFS_EXAMPLES_B64 has been created.

3.      The Bucket properties can be displayed by clicking on the Documents link.
