Hi there, we have just had open insight installed onto our NT 4.0 server. We are running NT 4.0 workstations running Novell Netware 32 bit client connecting to a global NDS tree and the NT Server. Upon setting REVPARAM to SERVERONLY=TRUE we always get an "Unable to access Linear Hash files Error=FS1019" message.
What can we do??? The Novell Netware 32 Bit Client must stay for a variety of reasons.
I also read that when using NT workstations that the service should be used to avoid corruption. Is this so??? If so why and how can it be avoided if the client cannot talk to the service???
All help appreciated as our vendor is unaware of what NT is - they are a 95 house

You are getting this error because Novell does not support named pipes in its client, which is the communication method used by the NT Service, and NT will only load one client at a time. There are 2 solutions to this.
1) Remove the Novell client from your NT workstations (Win95 does not have this problem since it allows both the Microsoft and Novell clients to be loaded)
2) Use the NPP without the NT Service.

We are also getting this error. We are not running Novel, but we do have Banyan Vines Clients. We are using the All Networks driver.
We have NT 4.0 Server and Workstations. We are always either getting FS1019 or 1020 or 1030 when we try to run with a client that has Banyan vines. This is killing our payroll and our vendor who is Ceridian was not able to help at all. In fact they are still researching it.
