If I try to print to it (from within AREV) or even from the DOS prompt I get a "another application has control of the Port" message or a "error writing device LPT1" message. Has anyone encountered this problem and devised a work around ? Any help appreciated. I've just had to tell clients that "thats the way it is - call me BEFORE you go and buy a new printer" - which many forget! I checked out the website linked to that post and it offers a "Single User" version @ 200 Euros=Au$357 ...per site - ouch!. It'd be cheaper to buy a new printer - which I'm gonna advise they do! Thanks to all for your advice/assistance.
