I have a read only edit line control, and I set the background colour.
In OI 8.0, this now shows as grey.
I can set the foreground colour OK, but not the background.
Has something changed from earlier versions to OI8 to make this not work?

Colin,
I ran a test on my 7.2.1 system. The test changed the BACKCOLOR property of an editline marked as READ ONLY. I was unable to set the BACKCOLOR. If I have an editline with the ENABLED property turned off, I am able to set the BACKCOLOR only if I do not have the HARD DISABLED checked on the Property Dialog.

I dont want to disable the control, so cant use the hard disable.
The user needs to be able to click on it, I have this control in the status line as an indicator, so needs to look like the other edit lines, otherwise I could have used a button.
I am not sure if you made a type, but you also said you were UNable to change the back colour.

This appears to be an outstanding "bug". See Bug Tracker items 612 and 708.
