The latest email from the Spectrum magazine highlights an Open Insight project.
GOING BACKWARD TO GO FORWARD?
Word has it that Revelation Software is developing an "OpenInsight Character Server" so that legacy MultiValue users can see their character-based applications run "as-is" before doing a gradual port to GUI interfaces. The product, which was previewed to a select audience at the Cincinnati Spectrum show earlier this week is scheduled to be released sometime in Q1 of 2006.
Does anybody have any other information on this project?

Hi Mark:
We are in alpha testing and development is progressing at a rapid pace. Our intent is to provide the ability to take a virtual save from a traditional multivalue system and restore the saved account as an application within OpenInsight. All tables will be created in a specified location, all dictionaries will be converted as best as possible and all character based programs will be able to compile and run as is. We are even providing support for PROC, a line editor and support for most TCL commands.
