We wrapped up another training class this week and this subject was covered pretty thoroughly. I would have invited you to sit in. However, we always refer our students to the two papers that Paxton and Sean referred to. Start with Andrew's to get a primer and then read the Help file that Sean mentioned (which, BTW, was written using portions from both Andrew's and my white papers). My white paper pretty much assumes you already understand the basics of promoted events but would like to extend the concept a little further. For instance, if you want to create your own event such as RIGHTCLICK or CONTEXTMENU, you can combine promoted events, a new event added with the Event Designer, and capturing a Windows message to create your own custom event that fires automatically. Just so happens that we are also presenting this topic in Las Vegas! dbakke@srpcs.com SRP Computer Solutions, Inc. ---- === At 03 FEB 2005 08:33AM support@sprezzatura.com wrote: === Credit where credit's due. I took a course last week where the delegates had a huge list on the final day of all the things they really had to know about. They were amazed by how much reading material they had to go away with - all the newer chapters in the on-line help, SRP's articles and of course the backlog of SENLS! Personally I think that there is a wealth of information in the docs which RevSoft (and the author(s) thereof) deserve kudos for! support@sprezzatura.com The Sprezzatura Group Web Site World Leaders in all things RevSoft [[https://www.revelation.com/revweb/oecgi4p.php/O4W_HANDOFF?DESTN=O4W_RUN_FORM&INQID=WORKS_READ&SUMMARY=1&KEY=DA960E46761AC5BD85256F9C006B42E2|View this thread on the Works forum...]]
