We are deploying OI3.4 on two station networks, using Windows networking, on both Win95 and Win311, and combinations of the two.
For increased speed, we install OI on each workstation, and deploy the 2-station runtime engine on each. The data tables are stored on one of the workstations, and a map is made to these tables from the other workstation, and the tables attached via the drive map.
Everything works fine, except that row locking does not work.
If you deploy a development engine however, row locking works a treat…
Can anyone shed any light?
Richard,
Can both users log into the same runtime copy of OI? If so, does locking work?

You bumped the runtime engine to use 2 users? What happens if the second stations logs onto machine 1 and they share an engine? Does locking return?
Yes, I have a 2 user runtime engine on both workstations…
There is still no row locking when both workstations share the same engine.
When using a development engine, row locking occurs wheteher the worksations are sharing an engine, or running their own…
Richard,
Could you ship the runtime engine [email protected]? It sounds like the networking flag isn't set on it.
