With the exception of having to manually register one .ocx file, the OI7 system works great on XP Pro and Win2k workstations but not on 98SE or earlier workstations. I'm receiving the error message as follows, "The EDITABLE.DLL file cannont start. Check the file to determine the problem."
I've searched the online discussion and only found one little blurb related to this file.

I was going by the OS Requirements page on the web which stated for version 4 or HIGHER, Win98 would work. Evidently, the page needs a little updating…and now, so do many of my workstations!

You are probably correct. For many of us this has been anticipated for a while. I believe Mike has said online, in roadshows, and during beta-testing that this was going to be a new restriction in order to cut-loose from the limitations that backwards compatability requires.
