Parentheses have worked OK for me too.

Your advice on how to do complex AND queries is interesting. Getting faster responses to queries is good.

For a moment I thought this method might even help me avoid the large lists overwrite bug. But that would depend on how complex queries are executed. More about that later. I need to think. And ask more questions. Or read old postings by Aaron.

That fix of yours - does it slow the system down? I have oodles of secondary selects. If lots and lots of lists must be saved and restored I assume that could slow things down considerably.
