Have been brought in to investigate Arev v3.12 system which is falling over with error report
"NT 5.001 NETWARE IPX/SPC/TCP_IP error"
The event occurs when calling some unknown initialisation / filter/ query ? proceedure called from numerous parts of menu as part of bringing up windows. The AREV system halts with reported error. Press enter and Arev session aborts back to the win95 client desktop.
Client cannot identify any change of system or environment that has triggered this abnormality.
System and app files verified free of GFE's. Am able to open standard windows, view etc records. Suspect some inteaction of Novell rights / environment and AREV network drivers and / or something in network environment effecting unknown initialisation proceedure (checking for print capture or DOS sort file?). Could not change driver on network but was successful when copied to local.
System has NLM 1.5 but observed that this was not being seen by Arev system - symptomatic of underlying problem. NB NLM functioning fine for OI system.
Suggestions urgently sought.

Alls well that ends …..
Developer identified missing / corrupt records in Sysobj table. Replaced table and everything back to better than normal - now got right drivers in place etc.
Seems that problem had been lurking for some months.
