Does the FIXVOL utility actually fix GFE's or simply locate/report them? I ran the utility and it reported:

Fixing \\…\DATA\REV88531 …

GFE in group 7: 127 - 2 - 8.

1 Group Format Errors.

However I am still getting errors logged to my NT event viewer that a GFE exists in the file. Any ideas?

It fixes a problem associated with Group Calculation Errors but it does not necessarily fix all GFES.

FIXVOL fixes group calculation errors that arose when modulo's exceeded 64K. It doesn't fix GFE's (to the best of my knowledge). The DUMP or FIXLH utilities in AREV can do this. You can also analyze and repair GFE's in OI Development mode from the Database Manager Utilities -] Tables Section.
