I have an evaluation copy of OI 8.0.1. Trying to see how I can import an old (but very reliable) 2.03 application to OI using AREV32. I'm using Windows Vista 64 bit (I know untested, but it seems to be running AREV32). I can get AREV32 to run but pressing F5 many system commands aren't recognized (ie: ATTACH_TABLE, EDIT, RUNMENU, etc) I can run my application if I go through (in AREV32) the Main AREV menu that appears (APPMAIN) "Define" ] "Menu" …select my main application menu in the Make Menu window and test run it. My main application menu will display and data is accessible although it doesn't recognize some of my subroutines. Am I missing a step or two and not attaching the appropriate files? …do I have to copy some other VOC file, etc? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We're in the middle of another big AREV32 conversion and as a rule most things work well. There are some issues with specific elements of reporting but Revelation are doing a sterling job of addressing them. It sounds as though your issues are more related to the differences in syntax between AREV 3.12 and 2.X. Try going to TCL and typing RUN SYSOBJ OLDSTUFF, F9 the following window and retry.

I tried that and get the "2.12 Commands and Tables" window. Leaving "Commands" prompt as 'Yes' Tables either Yes or No and options either "O" or null generates(in the debugger) "Line 1 broke because a runtime error was encountered." Then pressing escapes gives a message that "Run" is an unrecognized word. Escapes again and I am returned to the APPMAIN Menu.
