New Client for Win2000 (AREV Specific)

Does anyone happen to know if the new Novell Client for Windows 2000 ver 4.8 works any better with Arev than 4.7 did? I know there were several issues with 4.7 and I have not heard anything since the original May announcement that the problems were submitted to Novell. I would have thought those issues would have been addressed by now.

Dean, have you heard anything about the client situation? I am anxious to get my NT2000 running at an acceptable speed.
Thanks,

Dean, Corey,
We're in the process of upgrading the network product matrix with the new clients and benchmarks. Once that is complete we will post our findings.

Novell indicates that there is a definite problem but has closed the issue due to non respone from Advanced Revelation. Novell Issue #236779.

That doesn't seem to be a valid Novell issue number. Can you recheck as we can find no trace of this statement on the Novell site?
The most recent thing we can find for AREV is "Upgrading beyond v3.1 client breaks DOS software based on Advanced Revelation Software.
Applying SP1 or later for v3.1 of the client breaks Advanced Revelation Software.
Applying SP1 or later for v3.1 of the client breaks AREV software. "
and this has a published fix.

Yes, can Duff please explain how/where he got that Case ID??
Has Novell really abandoned this Problem??
any info that *anyone* has about the performance problem running Arev/OI under Win2000 would be appreciated.
also, a note about the Netware client and Arev.
Netware client 3.3 does work with Arev (2.1 at least) under Win9x.
- as most others know, Netware client 3.2 has some problems.
