I'm getting a strange message the first time I do a write after I've programmatically removed the indexes off a table. It shows up in two message boxes, one after the other.

FS231 "!" cannot be

RTP57 and executed, it does

??? not exist in the

! dictionary.

As far as I can tell, I've followed all the correct procedures to remove the indexes as outlined in the TB#56.

I remove the SI.MFS from the 2 tables involved.

Delete the "!" files.

I make the 6th field of the dictionary for one of the tables a 0. (It's a BTree).

I remove the information in the dictionary of the target field. 25th becomes 0 and the 24th becomes null.

I remove the information from the 23rd line of the source dictionary.

I delete the %FIELDS% and %PROTECT.SPEC% fields in both tables.

Then I detach and re-attach them. To update the deleted fields.

A rapid response would be deeply appreciated.

Sorry, those messages should read:

and

"!" cannot be

dictionary.

I didn't realise that the text would get re-formatted like that.
