I've been trying to use a network (IP addressed) printer with an Arev application. I have not yet been able to figure out the format of the NET USE command. Perhaps some of you out there can provide me with some assistance.

Richard,

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I'm not sure what the second half of that name is, so I guess I have to some experimenting to find the correct item.

the EPSONDFX is the printer share name

If the printer is an IP-addressed printer, why would I share it. I'd have to share it on each machine executing the Net Use command.

I guess I have to call Bill Gates to get an answer to that question.

Sharing it didn't do it. The printer is an HP 1200 with a Netgear PS101 Print Server attached. The IP address is now fixed, but it was assigned by DHCP previously. The Net Use command was unsuccessful that way too. The machine(s) in question is a Windows XP Pro machine. From a Windows perspective, the printer works like a charm.
