After trying many different things, we have not been able to successfully execute slist from the click event of the OK button.

We have the following on the click event of the OK button:

Declare function slist_97

Declare subroutine slist_97

various statements

call slist('list billing_detail id-supp vendor')

return 1

When we run and click the OK button, nothing, absolutely nothing happens.

What are we doing incorrectly?

Then can you run the OIPI_EXAMPLEx programs successfully? Your SList statement should work, assuming you are passing it a valid table name and valid column names.

Try running this line from SYSPROG in the System Monitor:

run slist "LIST SYSLOGINS ID-SUPP ADMIN"

It should at least give you the OIPI preview window.

I wish the system would just tell you that there is a syntax error.

We ran the sysprog via the form and no problem. Found that everything we were trying to do was correct EXCEPT we had vendor-name instead of vendor_name.

1. Create an editline on your form (eg. called STATUS)

2. In the create event x=Set_Property(@window, 'STATUSLINE', @window : '.STATUS')

SList error messages will now be displayed in that editline as will the help from menu items etc.
