I have created a CrossRef index and it is not getting updated either in Background, index.flush or DBManger 'update'. It will only update if I rebuild.

Any clues as to what is wrong or what I am missing.

I logged into another app to check that those indexes were updateing.

Noticed that had sort path in DB Environment and default I/O conversion NOT set.

Went back to new app and set sort path and unset Default i/o conversion.

It then worked ok. Tried to trace back - set default I/O ..still working..I could not null out the sort path.

So I am not sure what happened.

BTW. What does default I/O conversion do.
