Has anyone seen this. If you start OI with the /AP=xx /UN=xx switch and then cancel immediately when presented with the OI application run login box you get the message:

"The Engine has terminated unexpectedly"

"Do you want to close all open windows"

"YES/NO"

What is more worrying is that regardless of choosing YES or NO (as there are no Windows open at this stage) it leaves a copy of OINSIGHT.EXE running but not visible in the Taskbar as seen in Task Manager.

This occurs even when passing /AP=SYSPROG /UN=

If you don't pass /AP /UN parameters and just fire OINSIGHT.EXE then when clicking cancel it presents the OpenInsight main page disable with just File and Help menu options.

This occurs on development and runtime engines, single and multi user. This is on OI 4.1.3a but may be on other 32 bit versions.

It does not occur on 16 bit OI when it exits correctly with no OENGINE message and closes OINSIGHT.EXE (although it does leave NTVDM session running).

This is on Windows 2000 Prof both local and accessing a 2000 server.

We were able to get 4.1.3 to leave an OpenInsight open and not be closeable except from the task manager. We haven't been able to get it to "fall over". It seems to work fine in 7.
