What should the cache be set at on system running Arev 3.12 on Novell 4.1 with NLM?

Diane,

Cache where? on the Novell server? on the workstations? (what OS are they running) in AREV's NETWORK CACHE Setting?

The answer for AREV is 0, but with 3.12 that's already taken care of - but I'd set it to 0 just in case.

In Windows WS, set all WRITE caching to NO.

On the server, it depends, but the most important thing is to have TTS turned OFF.

Story I hear is that the cache works brilliantly with the NLM and NT Service and you should actually put back the 020 (Larry, you can just put back the 00) in all your systems.

i've always had tts disabled. i just wanted to be sure i was alright there because it my indexes don't automatically update anymore since i switched to a dedicated indexer. I have to manually update every 3-4 hours. Just checking out all settings.
