I have a client who is having trouble installing OIPI on Win2K desktop communicating with an NT SQL server. The Setup program fails so I shipped him the unpacked install files (The files ending in underbar) and had him copy the required files into the WINNT\SYSTEM folder. I had him double-click on OLE2.REG file in WINNT\SYSTEM.

Does he also have to do the REGSVR dir… options too, or does the above process do it for him? If he tries REGSVR process he receives an error message.

An addition, when they try to run an OIPI report, they receive the following:

Application Error

OENGINE caused a General Protection Fault in

module KRNL386.EXE at 001:2370

Choose close. OENGINE will close.

Any ideas / suggestions???
