SEQKEY woes in multipart key (OpenInsight Specific)

Like Don Pederson's problem of 2/9/99 (which I have checked) we are having the same problem. In a multipart key with the 2nd key being a SEQKEY the SEQKEY is not incrementing.
There was no solution out there to this problem - is there one now?
The following would be fine:
A*1
A*2
A*3
B*4
B*5
etc.

SEQKEY is not designed to work with multipart keys - you will need to implement your own solution or just use sequential counter if you don't mind gaps.

The latter is probably all right as long as he doesn't develop applications for the London Underground.

We're playing with www.sprezz.com - rolls off the tongue like a rotund oyster…
As for the LU joke… had an American friend's mother visit London and ask "how much do they have to pay to sponsor that advert?"…

Thanks Sprezz - we switched over to Counter and it worked like a champ.

Here's two possible scenarios both of which we have used:
First - Design the form with the Sequential key as the first element and the static part as the second part. This seems to increment (but with all the problems that %SK% has)
Second - Put a Dropdown on the Sequential KEY (or catch a double click or right click, if you wish) and call your routine either on the Dropdown Event or the Winmsg event.
You can also just use a sequential counter and not a sequential key counter as the second key part. OK if you don't mind holes.

Yuck! Don't you use your fingers like other people? And is there a name for this kind of thing? Keyboardlingus, perhaps?
Re LU: Just a thought - the speaker message must be much older than the company she was thinking of. Perhaps LU paved the way for their success?
