Hello:
My boss has asked me to find some lost information about our AREV 3.12 installation and the server it's on. Is there any way thru AREV to find the version of the Linear Hash we're using and it's Serial Number?I've found on the second page of the TCL WHO command what looks to be the Linear Hash version number. But is there any were else I can look for these two pieces of information. Thanks,

Michael,
According to my documentation, when the NLM is first started on the server it should display version and serial number information.
So, you should be able to issue LHSTOP.NCF and then LHSTART.NCF from a console to restart the NLM and display the information.
Obviously, make sure everyone is logged out of the application before restarting the service.

Michael - If you're not using the NLM, look for a file called LHSRVC.EXE on the server in a folder such as REVSOFT\NTService. (If you're using the Universal Driver, it'll be called LH3SRVC.EXE.)
Try running LHSRVC STATUS in that folder to see if you get the info you desire.

If you are using the netware NLM module, you can also just throw the LHIPXSER.NLM file into notepad. that data is mostly binary, but there is some text towards the end of the file.
Look for something like this :
"Linear Hash Server V2 Serial Number= NLMxxxxxxxx"
the xxxxxxxx will be your serial number.
This works for NLM v 1.5 and 5.5 from what I can tell.
