Q1. I would like to retain some data during data entry without clearing the screen when the user has entered data after saving the record. How should I ensure this?
Q2. How do I make user only select particular records to print during reporting?

In the Form Designer menu select Database -] Options and then make sure the "Clear form after Write" checkbox is cleared. This will allow the data to remain even after the user saves the data. If you need certain fields to be cleared then you will have to programmatically clear them during the WRITE event of the form.
Q2. How do I make user only select particular records to print during reporting?
It would be helpful to have more information about what you are trying to do. For instance, what type of reporting are you doing (i.e. Reporter, OIPI, Printer DLL, S/List). Are you printing a true column based report or a form? Generally speaking you use the RList subroutine to create an active select list or a saved select list. Then you use this list to limit your report to those records. If you give us more information about the method of reporting we can get a little more detailed.

Don't think the "submit questions" link is functioning as intended.

Hello All-
The original post here was for questions back in November of 2000 when it was announced that WinWin had taked controlling interest in Revelation.
The link is long dead- why don't you start a new thread?
Thanks-

Ray,
Now what question was it you almost submitted?
I almost asked for the possibility to work with one volume at a time when using Database Manager tools, so I don't have to browse endless table lists all the time.

Sprezzatura,
Yes, but that doesn't help much when you do indexes, verify tables, remove tables, etc. Everywhere in DM you select tables from flat alphabetic lists of table names. In my case very long lists of table names. If only the table lists could be restricted to show one location at a time, or the tables could be shown hierarchically like they are in the DM Outline when the Show Locations option is active.

Mike,
It's like a wonder of nature this thread. Like this dead-looking twig that's been lying on the ground for ages suddenly sprouting new leaves.
