Try rebuilding first. If it a mis-hash it could get nasty.

Now this COULD be a really obscure bug we have been seeing quite a bit recently on AREV systems with modern OSs. Somehow (I believe incorrectly configured m/cs) the !FileName row gets deleted from the ! file. The only solution is to copy in a copy of the row or recreate it by removing and readding all indexes….

Definitely had this error when updating dictionaries with btree indexes. Also had it on new Deployments with no data on board. Index doesn't seem to want to start building on some systems, works fine on others.
Only answer I found that works is removing and re-adding the offending index.
