Hey all…

Thanks for all of your help on Edit Tables and Popups for Individual Columns. I haven't tried the suggestions yet but I'll tear into that puppy shortly.

Until now, most of the multivalued controls I've used have been to hold things like contact names, phone numbers, etc. Stuff that generally doesn't have a popup of available selections. Until now, as I said. I'm using a single-control edittable to collect MV data that has a verifile validation to another database. I have a multiple selection, ordered, popup that I would like the users to use to select valid entries for this control. When I test the popup, data is returned correctly, as in,

  MICKEY
  FAB5
  CORE

When I try to use the popup on the MV control in the window, naturally, I get: MICKEY FAB5 CORE on the first line of the 4 visible lines in this control. Obviously, a quickevent call to get the popup isn't going to work, and I'm supposing I'll have to place this call in the window commuter to massage the data to display correctly. But if memory serves, isn't this delimiter ( ) the @SVM delimiter?? Am I totally confused? It would seem to me that on an MV control using a MV Popup, the data should be returned to the control one value per line. Of course, I could be asking too much. Or not holding my mouth correctly.

Is this result that I'm getting consistent with yours? Is this simply another drawback of edittables? I just wanna know.

Thanks again,

Mike+

Oy. Never mind. I had a brain-something there for a minute and seem to have figured this one out!

Just when I thought a trip to Lourdes was in order, too….
