Just recently upgraded from LH & LHIPXTSR.NLM version 1.06 to 1.10. (LHIPXTSR.EXE from version 1.06 to version 1.12)

What can be done to eliminate the FS492 error?

The Client is '95 with the intranetware client on a 4.11 (w IWSP4). I have the items added to the system ini as per the upgrade booklet and the nlm is loading LHIPXTSR.NLM with the/P:1472.

I have created the REVPARAM file with the ServerOnly=1 with no luck. My question is that before I was version 1.06 across the board, but now I have a 1.12 TSR w/ a 1.10 NLM and wondering if the ".02" is causing some of the problem. I can run the database after acknowledging the error.

Any suggestions, Ideas, would be greatly appreciated.

Doug,

One of the parts if the NLM is the old version, you can check each part individually:

At the server console type modules, find the revelation server and library in here, they should be version 1.10 (if not reinstall the server portion of the NLM)

Open a dos session, go to the directory where arev resides and type lhipxtsr /p. The version of the TSR should be 1.12 (if not copy the tsr from the client disk to the directory overwriting the existing lhipxtsr

launch arev with either the bump (version 2.x) or lanpack (version 3.x) users. Change the network driver to IPX/Advanced netware driver (this should also be version 1.12) if not reinstall and reselect via bump/lanpack.

This should clear up your problems

Thanks for the quick Response John. .. :-)

But… Both NLMS (LH.NLM and LHIPXTSR.NLM) are of the same version 1.10 (both say 1.10 when started with the lhstart.ncf) and the client (LHIPXTSR.EXE) loads and states that it is also 1.12. I can backout and redo the upgrade (using the arev /install) to try again.

Thanks for the help so far. Is there anything else I can try?

Doug,

Probably what is happening then is that the packet driver in arev is v1.06. I would reinstall and re-select the IPX/Advanced NetWare driver.

IPX-NETWORK-DRIVER is reading as 1.12 from the install/upgrade screen. I'm going to bounce the server and perform a backout and try again. (It's only "test" data anyway….)

So, the FS error message is happening, and I have a 1.10 NLM being run with a 1.12 IPX driver and LHIPXTSR.EXE file.

I did a backout and reupgraded and still encountereing the error message. The IPX Network Driver is at 1.12., which coinsides with the LHIPXTSR.EXE file (which is also 1.12) . The nlms are also reporting as 1.10.

Even though the FS492 error happens, I am able to successfully start the adv. revelation program and run the EHIS program.

Anything else I can try?

The issue is resolved…

What I had to do was rename the revboot.old to "revboot" and wipe out the original revboot.
