I was wondering how I would go about the following:

1. Can you export tables to ASCII files and how?

2. Can you view the data tables once you have brought over the AREV 3.1 data into OpenInsight and how?

I took all the old AREV 3.1 data and pulled it into OpenInsight but, I cant figure how to export to ASCII or ACCESS format or view the data in the tables.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For ACCESS exports, use the Client/Server capabilities of OI. Set up a Connection/DataSet and you can send your data in any format you need.

There is no ASCII export that comes with OI as far as I know.

However, for a one time export, if you're not comfortable with the C/S tools above, there's nothing stopping from attaching the current OI tables from within AREV and doing the exports from there.

Forgive me if I seem like a rookie to the software but, ive only used it for about 4 hours now

Anyways, this is what Im doing… Im trying to take the old AREV 3.1 tables and then convert them to OI. From OI im trying to get them into an ACCESS Database. So what your saying is to just use the c/s utility and just export directly to ACCESS? Thanks for your help thus far.
