We are interested in knowing what your experience has been with OI on various machines.
Criteria:
Our typical installation will be a network of 5 users.
In your opinion, what is the minimum computer OI can run on a receive acceptable speed? Is anyone running an OI app on 486's?
Running OI without the network products: How often do you receive GFE's?
In your opinion, is it a must to have the network products?
Any other info you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Jeff,
OI includes the NPP "out-of-the-box" so if you have this driver enabled, the Win95 locking bug isn't an issue; any GFEs you get should be "natural" ones (i.e. power failures, virus checkers/virii, etc.) which AFAIK the NT Service/NLM would not be able to do much about.

Anyone running OI on peer-to-peer such as Lantastic or Windows built-in networking? Is this an acceptable environment? What has been your experience?

My old sprezz machine in the UK was a 486/66 with 16M. John's was a 486/50, same memory. Can't really remember when the server came in. Before that, it was standard Win95/Win31 networking stuff. Speed was adequate for development and things. Have troubles going back an using it after using the P2 233 64M I have at home, but speed is relative. All in all, it should handle it fine.
I would think a good chunck are running on 486's.

I've heard mixed results and satisfaction using Lantastic over Win95 machines. Works great with Win31 machines though.
