Migration from Netware to NT (Networking Products)

Have a client who has been using Netware 4.x and the NLM for 3 years. Has downsized # of workstations to 4 and wanted to migrate the application to an NT 4.0 server. Set the Driver to Non-Networking, turned off the NLM at the server and copied the data files from the Novell Server to the NT server. Created a workgroup on the NT server with share (full) access to the new folders. Installed the NPP. Get the infamous error "Unable to load boot media" when the app is started. It works with the DOS 3.x lan-driver with locking but is pretty pokey. The desktops use both Netware and Microsoft NT logins since they need access to both servers (at least temporarily).
Any ideas on what's happening or how to fix it?

Do you have REVPARAM files? If so what's in them?

Yup.
ServerOnly=False
and that's it. No NT service but if this works I can probably pursuade them to get it. The NLM service saved my bacon a bunch of times.

Don,
Is this the REVPARAM in REVBOOT or the application database folder? If the latter, make sure you check the REVBOOT folder.
Also, I would strongly encourage the NT Service for the same reason you had such success with the NLM.

Yeah, I know, but unless I can get the NPP to work, WTFC. There is a REVPARAM in REVBOOT and in the DATA DIRECTORIES. I don't get any error except the "Unable to Load Boot Media .." and then AREV quits. I have backup copies of REVMEDIA, 1 with Non-Networking, which loads, obviously, 1 with MS-DOS 3.1 driver (which loads and works with locking) and 1 with the NPP driver 1.5.0.0 (which doesn't).
I've done this migration before (8-10 times, mostly with the NT service installed with no problems). This is the first mess. Any ideas?

Don,
In order to remove all doubt, we sometimes to a find for all REVPARAMs and then delete them.

Is the System User set up, with full rights to the subdirectories in question?

Going for the obvious…does the SYSTEM user have rights to the files?

Mike .. all this chat would be useful if I were setting up the NT service .. but I'm not. All I need right now is to make the NPP work on Win95 workstations connected to an NT4.0 (SP6) server. I chatted with Kevin this morning and he gave me two things to try:
1. Re-Install the NPP (although I'm doubtful about this since the installed version of the NPP will talk to netware just fine)
2. Try removing the IPX protocol and see if the NPP loads on NT.
Really puzzling…
