I have recently installed OI on an NT server. The revboot directory is in a read only area, the data in a 'full rights' area. When starting the application with a /dv=1 switch, I get the logon screen OK, but when I enter the password, and press enter the cursor becomes an hourglass and then goes back to the arrow with nothing happening.

Pressing enter again causes the error message 'Database template is missing in SYSENV table'. There are definitely two spaces between 'template' and 'is'.

When starting the application with a /dv=0 switch it still errors, but by opening the debugger with the message 'ENG0012: REPOS_RESOLVE_ENTITY, line 1. Table has not been opened.

For background information; I have installed REVPARAM files in all directories where there are linear hash files, with the line 'ReadOnly=1'.

NT Service has been installed on the server, and the NPP has also been installed on the server (not on the client as we are running Winframe).

I am in contact with Aaron K about this, but would appreciate any help on this.

The networking info in all this seems to be irrelevant. What we've found is that setting the APPNAME.DBT to read-only is the basic source of the problem. By setting this to read/write the problem goes away.

Actually, in the pursuit of accuracy the original system was run with RO on the entire net, then changed to RW, excepting some files, then we added the RW to the APPNAME.DBT.
