Revelation LH-IPX NLM 1.5 - poor performance running over ISDN (Networking Products)

We have a WAN set up which uses Routers to connect our different Novell IPX networks together over 64k ISDN links. This is a very reliable set-up and works OK.
We have tried running access to LH data over one of these links (with Advanced Revelation 3.12 & application files accessed locally). The data server being accessed is running NetWare 4.1 with the Revelation NLM ver 1.5.
Although it did run, performance was so poor that the application was effectively unusable.
We have been told that applications should run acceptably over 64k ISDN links if the Rev NLM is applied.
Is there perhaps something we're doing wrong? What parameters should we be using when loading LH.NLM & LHIPXSER.NLM on the server?
Nick.

You probably don't need to change any settings any more than you would if the system was local. Most settings are based on file handle levels and things like that, so the app uses the same number of files no matter how it's distributed. The only setting that would matter is the packet size setting on the LHIPXSER.NLM. Set that to 42 less than the packet size going over the ISDN.
Have you validated that the workstations are using the NLM and are actually connecting to the NLM server for the info, and not requesting it through another server?
