I have verified that the file specified by filename exists and is less than 64K (it is about 50K). The error message flashes so fast I can't read the whole thing, but it is a String space format error. My thought is that perhaps the sum of the sizes of the pre and post conversion record must be less than 64K. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I just tried doing this with a 50k text file. It copied to AREV just fine. I thought it would because I have done this many times. I also created a file larger than 64k just to see what kind of error message would be generated. It gave me a error of unable to read file - it must be less than 64K - esc to terminate or break to debugger.
