Missing @STATION Value (AREV Specific)

The situation is a Novell 3.12 network, WIN95 on the workstations, and an application in AREV1.15. The problem is the lack of a value getting passed into @STATION. We have a dozen or so customers with exactly this configuration, and all but one work fine. The one simply cannot get any value into @STATION. Checking in Novell SYSCON verifies that unique station ids exist. Record locking functions properly. Any ideas gratefully accepted.

The @station variable is fed by a DOS int 21h call, and is maintained by the Netware client 32. If you are using an early Microsoft version of the Netware client 32 this could be the fault.
If your network cards dynamically assign logical addresses, this could be a cause. Try installing the Novell IntraNetware client 2.2.0.0 (or latest) and see if this improves things.
Set your Client 32 to be a Bindery (not NDS) type, and see if this helps.
If you're really stuck and none of the above works I can ship
you some objects to run from the logon script to remedy the
situation. Email me.

Glenn,
I recommend that you upgrade your version of Arev to version 2.03 (a version that was, in fact, designed specifically for 2.0x users who wanted to use the Network Products). Versions of Arev earlier than 2.03 are not tested nor supported with the NLM and NT Service.
