There is a KB notice about this being a problem when trying to use the LH NT Service when both the client/server are running NT 4 SP6a.

From 12/15/99 "Connectivity Issue: Windows NT 4.0 Workstation and Service Pack 6 with Revelation Windows 2000 Service 1.5 and the All Networks Driver 1.5"

Has this been resolved?

Also, how about if either end is using Win2K with NT SP6a?

Thanks

Chris

Chris,

Microsoft has not yet released a new service pack past 6a, so I suspect the connectivity issue still exists. Just to be sure, I am setting up a test environment to check it out myself. I will let you know once I find anything either way.
At the same time, we have been able to connect to an NT 4.0 sp6a Server with Windows 2000 and run OI and Arev using the NT/2000 Service. With minimal protocols (Client for Microsoft Networks, the Network Monitor Driver, File and Print Sharing and TCP/IP), we had no trouble connecting. On one 2000 machine we have did have trouble connecting until we removed the Microsoft NWLINK protocol, which is known to cause the FS1006 error.

Hope it helps,

Kevin
