jLH works like a charm so far! (OpenInsight Specific)

I just took about an hour to play around with the new jLH Server I got at the conference.
It installed without a flaw and I was able to run my current major application (150+ forms, 100+ tables) with it just fine.
As a by-product of jLH, I also did find out that my copy of JBuilder Pro only had the 1.1.2 version of the JRE, and not the newer (and required) 1.1.5 version from Sun. Just a reminder to all others that will try this: check the JRE version first!
Speed seems OK, just a bit slower than the Byte-Range, but definitely not by much. Printing SLIST reports it seemed just as fast (seemed faster at times actually), but reading a record in a form (perhaps because of locking) was just a little bit slower.
I used my 300Mhz / 96Meg Ram / Win95 machine for both the jLH Server and the Client (local data).
A very encouraging jRev component so far. Good job guys!

Hey Dave,
Thanks for the info. Glad to hear that everything looks good so far. If you have any issues that come up with jLH, let us know so we can make our developers aware of them.
Good luckā¦
