Too many users (OpenInsight 32-bit Specific)

We are developing on OpenInsight 7.1, and have 6 licenses. When I go to run our development version of OpenInsight, it tells me Too many users. How can I tell who is connected, and how many connections are really connected? I'm looking at who has the OENGINE.DLL file open, and ONLY see 2. How does the software determine how many licenses are being used?

Anne,
Do you really have 6 developer licenses? If not, then that would explain why you are getting a "Too many users" message. You can run the LIST_USER_LOCKS window to see who has what tables locked. This assumes that you are running the Revelation Service.

Yes, we DO HAVE 6 DEVELOPER licenses! Not sure how I can use the LIST_USER_LOCKS, if I cannot start up OI! This was been a very big problem for us when we were using version 4.3, and were told that it would be fixed when we upgraded to 7.0. It appears that sometimes, when you exit oinsight, it does not always "clear" these licenses. In the past, we'd reboot the PC, and it may or may not work.

Anne,
Sorry, I misunderstood you previously as saying you have one developer logged in successfully but you can't get two. Have you tried restarting your Revelation Service? What version are you using? There are known problems with connections be kept alive with older versions of the 2.1 but there is now a patch available.

Don,
We're using Novell and the NLM. We can try resetting the NLM…but that's not a very good long-term solution. We're transitioning from AREV to OpenInsight and have six developer licenses. At this point, we usually only have three developers working concurrently, but we still run into the license lock problem occassionally.
As we move forward, we going to have more concurrent development in OpenInsight (likely all six of us). I'm afraid the license lockout is going to become more of a problem unless we learn how to sort it out now.
What's the best method of troubleshooting "Too many users" errors for OpenInsight 7+ on a Novell network + NLM? We can easily see the max # users allowed, but not the current # of used licenses or who's using them. We can look at surrogate markers (who's using DLL's), but those aren't reliable. If OpenInsight has failed to release a license properly on someone's machine, we need to be able to find the problem and fix it quickly & easily.
Any suggestions? Is there a tool or technique that could help? Sorry if this is a "RTFM" kind of question. :o)
Thanks.

Don,
It looks like you tried responding to me…but your response was blank. If you have any suggestions or can point me to a manual/resource that could help us manage the "Too many users" problem, I'd greatly appreciate your advice.
