Hi All

We have a client who wants to upgrade their network from NT to Win2000 (servers and lan management). They currently have an AREV system (I'm guessing it's v3.12) and the Revelation NT service installed.

If they upgrade to Win2000 servers, do they need to buy the Win2000 network service or will the NT one they had be ok to be installed on the Win2000 servers?

What kind of problems do upgrades of this sort cause?

Do I need to set up the shortcuts/pifs/bat files differently?

Do I need to change config files?

Yes I did search the site for info but there seems to be mostly problems if I have win2000 clients and a Novell Lan, there isn't much info if I have a Win2000 LAN.

I'd be guessing but I suppose if they want to upgrade their servers, they will probably upgrade the clients to win2000 also.

Janet,

All problems that we have encountered with Win2000 are shared with NT. We don't know if any new gotchas. Their current NT Service is same product they would use for the Win2000 server as well.
