I'm getting closer to the problem with this $Insert problem. If I delete the windows event exe then go back into the form and recompile the event, i.e. OMNIEVENT, CREATE, etc. the application works fine with the new $Insert record. I can exit the app, come back in and everyting is fine. Now if I delete the window event (either from the entity tree, programatically by 'DESTORY', etc.) and try to recompile it via Repository('COMPILE', EntityID, "")in code it does not work. The event exe shows up in the Application Manager tree but does not get excecuted when it is supposed to do. Basically, the windows open up but no events are fired. Is there some other way to re-compile all fo the windows events? It would be impossible to go into each window and recompile every event for every control.

Thanks,

Bryan

Bryan,

Have you selected the window in app mgr (not exe but form) and in entity gone to complile .. tree.

Times when I have had odd things happen with events this seems to recompile well

let me know

[email protected] onmouseover=window.status=you have seen the rest .. now try the best!;return(true)"

Bryan,

Did you see my other post that included the code to recompile the forms and events?
