We would like to implement user groups who all print to the same printer without resorting to individual workstation specific settings (such as bat, pif, ini files). For example, everyone with the sysenv environment of 'ABC' prints to the 'LASERJET_2' printer, without allowing the users to choose a printer (unless they have super user power).
Anyone done anything like this? Any pointers?

At first glance you should be able to achieve this using GEC_COMMON (See http://www.sprezzatura.com/revmedia/v3i3a6.htm). We've not had the requirement thus haven't spent the time investigating. Let us know if this doesn't do it for you.
