Our site is experiencing numerous occurences of an R27 Message Initialization scrolling error, mostly when users are first getting into our Advanced Rev application.

We are running Advanced Rev 3.01 on NT Workstations (service pack 4) on a Novell Netware 4.11 LAN. The application is an insurance agancy application written by Multidata corp. (DMS).

If anyone has any ideas on how we can rid ourselves of this error it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What LAN Driver (NPP or Novell or NLM?). What frame type / connection are you using (IPX/SPX or TCP/IP?). How is your environment / shortcut setup with respect to memory (EMS, etc.). If you do a search on this here, you'll probably find the answer.

Ron,

This could be attributed to a memory problem. Check your setting. In your dos shell, make sure you have at least 550k conventional memory, 2MB of Expanded Memory (EMM386.EXE RAM) and that you are using the AREV /XM2048 parameter.

Also, make sure that drive letter you use for Arev is not redefined by another application.

We are running on an NT workstation so I don't believe we use any additonal extended memory software.

I did a search on R27 erors and found many answers for other environements but not our exact environment. I will do a more thorough search. We are trying to take the other answers into consideration, thank you for your help!
