INET_TRACE works with SAMBAR on a local machine. I created

a OI form call FORM_ODBC_WEB. Using WEB_PUB I created "compile HTML page" called FORM_ODB.HTM which was saved in the C:\OINSIGHT directory.

In the repository there is a record under HTML files called FORM_ODBC_WEB. I tried calling the form from a web browser using

"http://www.x.com/cgi-win/oicgi.exe/INET_REPOS?DOC_ID=FORM_ODBC_WEB" , but this did not work…. what am I doing wrong???

If you used the HTML publishing in OI, and you saved the created HTML document in the DOCS subdirectory under Sambar, you only need to type:

http://tabc25166/document.htm

You would have needed to make some changes to the generated code- specifically in the FORM tag- right now the ACTION is probably './', but it should be 'http://tabc25166/cgi-bin/oicgi.exe'

Also, I think SAMBAR wants OICGI to be in the CGI-BIN subdirectory, not the CGI-WIN.

I might need to attend some classes. But before I can justify it

I need to show my bosses that OI can do a request for info.

from the WEB, through OI and ODBC retrieve info. from a Main frame,

and return it to the web. If OI can't do this through an ODBC link

(does ok on a standard OI form) and return it to the web I have no

chance and my bosses are going to look elsewhere, i.e. other

software, to handle this need. Don't have much time to convence them.

Any help would be appreciated.
