I have run in to a problem trying to run AREV on a workstation (mine) that has been reloaded with Windows 2000. I wiped the drive (I was running Win98 previously) and did a fresh load of Win 2000. I am using the Novell client (4.71) for Windows 2000 (Novell recommended). We have a Novell 3.2 network, running Advanced Revelation 3.1 with the 1.5 NLM.

When I try to run the standard shortcut in Windows 2000, I receive the following error:

"Linear Hash IPX Driver - REVMEDIA Open Error: FS477

REVPARAM File Specifies server only access mode.

Unable to open boot media map."

If I double click an old DOS batch load file for AREV (back when we were a DOS only network, the good old days) in the APPS\AREV directory, AREV will start loading but will run out of string space for the tables (since memory is not set up in Windows). Strange.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and developed a solution or workaround? I have read through other posts, but most issues with the FS477 error seemed to center around Win 98 and the 3.2 client.
