From Development to Testing (OpenInsight 32-bit Specific)

The time has come for me to start testing things out on the network. We are running the NLM 1.5 on a NetWare 4.11 server. I have already changed the LHSTART.NCF to handle the additional load for when I copy my development data back to the network, and I have purchased my user licenses. Can someone give me some pointers on what I am going to need to do to move this from my PC to the network? Are there some white pages or links I can be referred to? I know it's not as simple as AREV where I could just copy the whole thing over and then change my REVBOOT to start using the NLM. Any starting point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Actually, it's not that much more complicated than what you would do with AREV. But first I have a question: Will OI use the same datatables that the current AREV system is using or are you basically starting with a different (yet similar) set of tables that will only be seen and used by OI?
The answer to that question will determine what additional steps, if any, will be required for you to move OI onto the server. Basically, if OI has it's own tables which are relative to the location of OI itself then you can move the entire system. Otherwise, if the original AREV tables will be used then you will need to load the Database Manager to attach those tables and save the database definition.
The only other steps you will need to do is 1.) make sure the Netware NLM Multi-User driver is selected (do this before attaching any new tables), and 2.) replace the development oengine.dll with your multi-user runtime oengine.dll.

Converted all my dots to underscores and fixed my symbolic dictionaries (calculated rows I guess they are called now). When I am ready for true application deployment, I plan on going through the same steps with a fresh copy of data from AREV.
