I keep getting an error message run-time error r6009

Printer at the TCL window the Printer command is to access the file server printer I then get the message Press to return to Revelation. The AREV is 1.16 under a Novell network 3.1.

Is this a Novell or a AREV problem. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Mark,

Are you doing a suspend when you try to print? Or a PC EXIT? Does this happen on all of your workstations or just one?

The voc command for Printer is pc capture q=print_o

/nff/nb ti=4. This doesn't happen on all of the machines

on the network. The machines which are strictly slave machines without

windows and even without hardrives do not have this problem. It only

seems to happen on the machines which use windows programs. We have

several machines with 486 100-150 processors which have this problem.

The R6009 is a Microsoft C compiler error. If I recall

from my QuickC days it is a

"not enough space for environment".

It's being produced by the program you call from AREV.

There's enough memory to load your program,

but not enough room for its argument list.

Try a different version of the program you are calling,

or try to increase the environment size in your

Windows shortcuts/pifs (say to 768 or 1024 bytes).

You could also use a PERFORM "SUSPEND EXIT CAPTURE…"

You might also want to use the capture verb I wrote for

AREV (call it twice in succession if it doesn't behave)
