Erica,
The reason people are saying not to do it is because when rebuilding indexes, especially relational indexes, in a windows 95 machine, the chances that you will get INDEX file corruptions are greatly increased. I have seen it first hand.. I'm not sure but it seems that AREV and windows 95 are not very good together.. I have not have any problems with AREV and Windows NT. Now that I think about it , I've had no problems with NT as compared with 95 with anything..Saul

Erica, many of my customers running an AREV 1.15 application are using WIN95 and rebuild indexes without problems.

Some people have experience problems running ARev on Win95. Others have not. It's hard to determine how many of the problems result from incompatibilities in the OS and how many are from system configuration. A good number of our clients run exclusively on Win95 and all have no troubles rebuilding or adding new indexes.
