To all,

I'm using OI4.13. Is there a lenght limitation for the name of a Stored Procedure? According to the help, it should be 50 characters, but when I tried to save a procedure with a name greater than 33 or 34 char, I'm not able.

Does the documentation needs to be updated? Or is there a trick or switch that you have to use.

I'm running on XP Pro.

Thanks,

Ray Chan

The Stored Procedure Name was going to be (I think)

DBW_EDI_TRANSACTION_SET_PROPERTIES_EVENTS (41 CHAR), but was too long so I had to truncate it to about 30 something ;-(

If you can try it, could you tell me if you can enter a SP with a name longer than the width of the listbox. I even tried to fool it by copying a program with that name (e.g., copy_row), but I kept getting an invalid character message.

Thanks,

Ray

Ray,

I was able to name the stored procedure DBW_EDI_TRANSACTION_SET_PROPERTIES_EVENTS_123456, however the Open and Save Dialogs within the System Editor only allowed for the entry of 31 characters. The only way I was able to save was by doing a Save and Compile when building the procedure from scratch.

The new Editor in OpenInsight 7 has no such limitation.
