After running the 2.12 to 3.12 upgrade, I can't determine if the NLM is still being used. I don't think it is, because AREV no longer gives me the warning message if I try to run it without LHIPXTSR running. How does one maintain the NLM through an upgrade?

Could the AREV Network setting have been changed during the upgrade process? Run AREV.EXE and check the entry for Options | Network. Is the entry correct for the NLM?

It did change from "IPX/Advanced Netware 2.1+ Drv." to "Novell Netware". However "Novell Netware" seems to be the only Novell option available in 3.12.

You need to install the NLM drivers again. 3.12 required a whole new set of drivers. It was decided to just update the drivers file instead of each record. Since this happened before the NLM was shipped, it effectively removes the drivers. You'll need to reinstall the client portion of the NLM.
