Error when starting App. (AREV Specific)

A client of ours has had to rebuild on of their PCs. Now they are unable to run our Arev 3.12 application.
They start it using a batch file. The NLM is loaded, then it contains the line
AREV /XM1024
It is at this point they get an error, something about performing an illegal operation - Tried to execute an invalid instruction.
All other client PCs are executing the same batch file without a problem, so im guessing it has something to do with the PC rather than the application!?

First thing I would do would be change the /XM1024 to /XM4096 unless you have a specific reason for this setting.
What OS is this PC?
What Network Client are you running?

(And Shut down the W98 freezes before saying now its safe to turn off …)
