I am moving my users from 98 to XP. Things for the most part are working fine with XP. I have one user who takes text frm AREV screen and copies the data to a Excel spreadsheet. In 98 it would let her pull a box, just like in windows, and highlight cut and paste. With XP she can move from field to field with the mouse but can't pull a selection box like she could in 98. Any ideas?

This is down to how the pif is configured. Normally you would configure to ALLOW the mouse to function and so disable quick edit mode. It sounds as though you WANT to enable quick edit mode. Use the system menu and set properties for the shortcut.

Chris,

I have XP home edition, and I have my AREV development working just fine on it. I am able to click the AREV window upper left icon to be able to select the menu item "edit" then "mark". That lets me highlight or mark the items. Then I can use the "copy" to copy to the clipboard just fine.

I guess I just wanted to let you know that I can do it.

Cool that does it. Too bad you can't have it act in both manners at the same time. Thanks.
