Our Arev application uses a metal card printer that must be attached as a local serial device. Under Arev 2.12/Windows 3.1, we successfully printed to this device simply by redirecting COM1 to LPT1. However, after switching to Arev 3.1/Windows 95, this no longer works.

Tests show that when running in DOS mode only, we CAN print to the device redirected to LPT1. We can also print directly from Windows 95 applications. However, we cannot print from Arev running under Windows 95 — nor, apparently, from other DOS applications running under Windows 95.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Jill-

When you set up that printer in Win95, did you capture the printer port? You must capture LPT1 for this operation to work.

Hope it helps-
